Jennifer Walter, owner and operator of Jen’s Music Studio, has been teaching music lessons for over 15 years.
She is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Music Educatio
n program with a concentration in Music Composition. She currently teaches piano, voice, clarinet, saxophone, flute, song writing, and music theory.
Over the course of her career, Jennifer has received many scholarships and awards, including the Barry Manilow Scholarship for commendable ability in musical studies, and the Jacob and Sarah Goldman Memorial Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement.
She won first place in the Phi Beta Mu International Band Master’s Fraternity composition competition for original composition for band, and has had multiple works performed at the Rose Theatre in Brampton.
Jennifer has been involved with numerous community ensembles including the Brampton Concert Band, the Jazz Mechanics, the Thorold Reed Band and the Niagara Falls Concert Band. She has performed shows with Meadowvale Musical Theatre including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annie, The Wizard of Oz, and Guys and Dolls. She has also been involved with the Durham Integrated Arts Camp.
Jennifer is a current member of ORMTA – Ontario Registered Music Teacher’s Association and is a Music for Young Children® certified teacher.
